Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Austin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Webster, Frank, and the team are wonderful to work with. They are straightforward, reliable, and just all-around good people. Itβs hard to find a shop in Austin you can completely trust, but these guys consistently do great work without any hassle. Highly recommend them!

Recently bought a 2007 C4S with 45,000 miles. GT International reviewed the PPI with me including the bore score results and gave me their advice. This was super helpful. They assisted with delivery and then guided me through decisions on getting ahead of known problems with Gen 1 997s. Their prices are reasonable, the work was stellar, and the car feels more responsive than during my test drive, when the car felt good enough to buy. This is the cleanest driving car I've ever owned and I owe it to GT. They'll be my go-to shop for both of my 911s. Frank and Dominic took time to walk me through the work and chat, when they had time. A great shop, with great, friendly people who know their business.

Huge fan of the team at GT International! I was referred by a trusted friend and have been taken very well care of from the start. Webster is always responsive and has helped me make smart choices for my car care. I trust where he guides me and have not regretted it once. I wish I had stopped going to the dealership and coming here years ago. Way better service and I never worry I'm being sold something I don't need. Highly recommend!

Took my 991.1 Carrera 4S there for some routine services (oil change, and PDK maintenance) and they did a great job! Quick turnaround, and they washed my car. The advisor there, Frank, was very helpful, he answered all the questions I had about my car service and was very responsive via text which worked great for how busy I am.

The crew at GT International -- Webster, Brandon, Clayton, and Sean -- are masters of the art of working on high-end European sports cars. This is more than just an "in and out" car repair shop. The guys can work on the most complex repairs and handle aftermarket modifications, all with the skillful hands that come from years of experience and factory-training. Update 9/2024: yep, they're still awesome. I can't say enough good things about this shop. If you're a Porsche owner, you'll be in good company with the many PCA members who also trust their cars to GT International.
